Haken lleva tres años en silencio desde "Fauna" (2023) y vuelven con este single de más de siete minutos que supone un antes y un después en la historia del grupo. Por primera vez en su carrera trabajan con un productor externo: George Lever, el mismo que ha dado forma al sonido de Sleep Token y Loathe. El resultado es, según ellos mismos, el material más emocionalmente directo que han grabado nunca.
La canción llega además en un momento de transición. A principios de 2026 el guitarrista Charlie Griffiths —miembro desde 2008— y el bajista Conner Green abandonaron la banda. Para cubrir el bajo en este single, Haken ficharon a Bryan Beller, conocido por The Aristocrats y sus colaboraciones con Joe Satriani y Dethklok.
La canción arranca despacio, con la voz de Ross Jennings casi en susurro, y va construyendo tensión hasta explotar en un clímax que resume muy bien por qué este grupo sigue siendo una referencia del prog metal.
