"Lotus" es el tema que cierra el EP in a fever dream (2026), el primer lanzamiento de Haken en más de tres años. Es la pieza más larga del EP (más de 7 minutos) y, según varias reseñas, la más "clásica" en su sonido prog dentro de un disco que por lo demás suena más directo y menos técnico que discos anteriores como Fauna o Vector.
Curiosidades:
- El EP se grabó tras la salida de dos miembros históricos, el guitarrista Charlie Griffiths y el bajista Conner Green, a comienzos de 2026. La formación actual quedó reducida a Ross Jennings (voz), Richard Henshall (guitarras), Raymond Hearne (batería) y Pete Jones (teclados), con Bryan Beller y Adam "Nolly" Getgood como bajistas invitados en las grabaciones.
- Producido y mezclado por George Lever, conocido por su trabajo con Loathe y Sleep Token, algo nuevo para la banda.
- Varias reseñas destacan que "Lotus" cierra el EP "en su punto más alto", con un groove marcado en 6/8 y un final resuelto con un coro coral muy efectivo.
- No se lanzó como single ni tiene videoclip propio; solo "delirium" y "bleeding sky" tuvieron vídeo oficial.
