Tema principal de la película "Arthur" (1981), protagonizada por Dudley Moore y Liza Minnelli. Ganó el Oscar y el Globo de Oro a la mejor canción original.
Curiosidades: la canción no la escribió Christopher Cross solo, algo poco habitual en él, ya que prefiere componer en solitario. La compuso junto a Burt Bacharach y Carole Bayer Sager, en casa de estos en Beverly Hills. En un principio se pensó en el propio Cross para componer toda la banda sonora de la película, pero el director, en su primer largometraje, prefirió no arriesgarse con otro debutante y cedió el trabajo a Bacharach.
El verso más recordado, el de la luna y Nueva York, no lo escribió ninguno de los tres. Se lo debemos a Peter Allen (exmarido de Liza Minnelli), que lo había compuesto años antes para una canción inacabada junto a Bayer Sager, y que se le ocurrió mientras su avión esperaba turno para aterrizar en el aeropuerto JFK. Por eso Allen también figura como autor.
Gracias a este tema, Cross sumó su segundo número uno en EEUU (tras "Sailing") y de paso desbancó del primer puesto a "Endless Love", la otra gran balada nominada esos días al Oscar.

Versión a destacar: para el remake de 2011 de "Arthur" (con Russell Brand), el grupo Fitz and The Tantrums grabó una versión más moderna del tema, que se libró de las críticas que recibió el resto de la película.
